Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System — Newsletter 11/12/2011
This daily newsletter provides an overview of the natural disasters that happened in the last 24 hours and response measures for ongoing disasters. GDACS currently covers earthquakes, tsunamis, tropical cyclones, volcanic eruptions and floods. The color coding (red, orange, green) is related to the estimated humanitarian impact of the event.

Colombia: Colombia Desplazamiento masivo (Caloto, Cauca) - Informe de Situacion N? 1 Fri, 11 Nov 2011 17:20:51 +0000 Source: UN Country Team in Colombia, UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Country: Colombia Este informe fue elaborado por la oficina de OCHA Pacifico, con informacion proporcionada por Accion Social, Defensoria del Pueblo, Personeria Municipal, Diakonie, OPS. Cubre el periodo del 08/11/2011 al 10/11/2011 I. PRIORIDADES/PUNTOS DESTACADOS ? Como consecuencia de la intensidad de las hostilidades y por amenazas en contra de varias familias, mas de 330 personas pertenecientes a comunidades campesinas se desplazaron en zona rural de Caloto. ? Es el segundo desplazamiento masivo que se registra en 2011. Ante el incremento de los riesgos para la poblacion, se requieren medidas especiales de proteccion por el incremento de los operativos militares y las amenazas. ? Algunas familias de estas comunidades cuentan con medidas especiales de proteccion otrogadas por la CIDH y el Consejo de Estado. |
