Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System — Newsletter 16/06/2015

This daily newsletter provides an overview of the natural disasters that happened in the last 24 hours and response measures for ongoing disasters. GDACS currently covers earthquakes, tsunamis, tropical cyclones, volcanic eruptions and floods. The color coding (red, orange, green) is related to the estimated humanitarian impact of the event.

	From 16/06/2015 to 16/06/2015, a Tropical Storm (maximum wind speed of 93 km/h) BILL-15 was active in Atlantic. The cyclone affects these countries: United States (vulnerability Low). Estimated population affected by category 1 (120 km/h) wind speeds or higher is 0.

	Green flood alert in India
	On 02/06/2015, a flood started in India, lasting until 15/06/2015 (last update). The flood caused 2 killed and 9000 displaced .

	Orange flood alert in Ghana

	On 05/05/2015, a flood started in USA, lasting until 15/06/2015 (last update). The flood caused 38 killed and 600 displaced .
